CONCERNING YOUR CHARACTER
Miss Rebecca Winthrop is nineteen years of age. She was born in Hertfordshire in the year 1793 to Harold Winthrop and Susan Winthrop of Haverford Park. She has two brothers. They are Geoffrey, aged six and twenty, and James, aged three and twenty.

Miss Winthrop's father is alive and his profession is that of gentleman landowner. Her mother is deceased.
Appearance:
Miss Winthrop is a strikingly handsome young lady, with dark hair, shining green eyes, and a mischievous smile. Her complexion is very fair and her build is slim but pleasing. She is not tall, and is in fact quite petite, but she carries herself in a way to make her appear regal. She is always fashionably dressed in the latests styles from London. A modern person might say that she looks rather like Katie McGrath.
If Male:
[Character's Name] studied at [Oxford/Cambridge/Other] and his profession is [profession]. His fortune would be described as [excellent, good, moderate, meager], and his rank would be
If Female:
Miss Winthrop enjoys dancing, flirting, playing pianoforte, and singing.. She particularly excels at playing the pianoforte, singing, and planning meals.. She dislikes silent reading and sewing/knitting.
Temperament:
Miss Winthrop could best be described as coquettish. She is: energetic and playful, and likes to push the boundaries of what is considered acceptable behavior. She is often found at the center of attention and is seldom seen without at least one eligible gentleman by her side. She likes to laugh and make fun of others who are less fortunate than she is, but of course she never does it overtly.
She can be a bit snobbish, especially among members of her own sex. She finds it very necessary to be as fashionable as possible, and she has little respect for women who are less fashion conscious than herself.
Her worst trait is her greed. Although she flirts and toys with eligible men of all social standings, she is determined that she will only marry a man who is either very wealthy or in possession of a title. She is already wealthy enough on her own, with a sizable allowance and dowry, and could very well not marry if she so chose, therefore she can afford to be choosy. She is particularly hoping to find a member of the nobility--a Lord, perhaps, or a Viscount. But she'll settle for a baronet, or even a knight, if he's wealthy enough--just as long as she gets to be called "Lady."
History:
[Give a more detailed explanation of the character's history here. Please use at least two paragraphs.] Rebecca was born as the youngest child and only daughter of Harold and Susan Winthrop. Her mother, having always wanted a little girl, spoiled her rotten. Her father also doted on her, as did her two older brothers. Little was done to control her occasionally wild behavior, and as a result, she grew up to be quite impertinent. Although she learned sewing and needlepoint and French, as was proper for a young lady of her station, she disliked sitting still for such activities. She did enjoy lessons at the pianoforte, and she practices it often, so that she may exhibit her talents at social gatherings. To show just how talented she is at this, she is often able to flirt with a young man who will consent to turn pages of sheet music for her, while she is playing.
Miss Winthrop's mother died when she was thirteen years old, and although she grieved exactly as much as was proper, it wasn't long before her behavior returned to the old "wild" ways. She often appeared in company long before she was "out," and was already known as an accomplished flirt before she turned sixteen. Her father has been ill the last few years, and has made no further attempts to rein in her behavior. But though she is a flirt, she never completely crosses the line, so that she is seen as merely spirited and coquettish, but never out right embarrassing.
